His ten year-old son always included Lillie in his prayers.
“Let’s pray for
Sarah tonight,” his daddy said, hoping to move on.
“I don’t want to. She gives me the creeps.”
“She’s nice. She’s
pretty, and she likes you a lot.”
The boy scrunched his nose. “She smells like
stinky perfume. Are you going to kiss her?”
His daddy smiled.
“I already have.”
“Barf!”
