WonHundred Word Wednesday Flash Fiction

Lexi believed in ghosts. She had never seen one but she was sure they existed because her father claimed he had. The ghost had floated above his grandfather’s headstone and warned him not to marry his high school sweetheart. Dad chuckled whenever he told the story because he took his grandfather’s advice. He went on a mission instead and it blessed his life. Now Lexi pondered the same question. Mission or marriage? She decided to go to her father’s grave to ask his advice. “What should I do, Dad?” No phantom appeared but the Holy Ghost whispered to her heart.

  1. I love this sweet story and the spiritual angle. That can be hard to do in so few words, but I think you did a great job with it!

  2. I enjoyed this. You were able to see the faith the father installed in his daughter.
