The prompt : He didn’t understand what he’d done to her, but
he would by the time she was finished.
Seth brushed his teeth,
getting ready for his date, and glanced up at himself in the mirror. Wisps of unruly
red hair protruded over his ears. Emily was right. He needed a haircut. But it
was too late. “Emily,” he called out to
his thirteen year-old sister, “could you snip off these loose ends?” She came
into the bathroom, her face a frown. “Why should I help you? You called me a
dork.” “Yeah. Sorry about that,” he said, handing her the scissors. He didn’t
understand what he’d done to her, but he would by the time she was
finished.
